GAA’s Sold Out Conference is Huge Success.

GAA’s 3rd Conference is Massive Success

The Global Affinity Alliance convened in Amsterdam this year for its third, and incredibly successful, annual conference. The event sold out months in advance making it difficult for late-registrants to find a spot. Likewise, many WCA members found themselves on an ever-growing wait list where they hoped to gain entrance to the young networks conference.

“This is just a testament to who we are,” said Brian Majerus, managing director of Global Affinity Alliance. “As a group of young incorporated companies, we are excited and passionate about making new business connections. It’s why our conferences are growing and showing no sign of slowing.”

As always, GAA’s conference week kicked off with a high-energy team building activity geared toward bringing delegates together. This year, members took to the streets of Amsterdam, winding in and out of the famous red-light district to answer trivia questions about to the city’s historic particulars. The most successful groups were awarded with medals of honor at the Cocktail Reception later that night.

On the first full-day of the conference, delegates gathered for a general session where group leaders took time to update the group on major network initiatives, benefits and opportunities. Among those at the podium were Brian Majerus, GAA managing director; Andy Robins, GAA customer service; Ross Stemmler, All World Shipping; Bryce Barnhart, CEO of World Insurance and Dan March, CEO of WCA. After the general session members launched into their first One-on-One sessions, meetings designed specifically to enable effective, powerful business connections.

Monday’s full day of activities came to a wrap at the 3rd Annual Gala Dinner where members enjoyed even more networking over great food, drinks and evening entertainment. During the dinner, members OPrimo, OTX Solutions, and JCL Oriental were honored and recognized for their valuable contriombutions as event sponsors.

Honored for their contributions as event sponsors:

  • OPrimo
  • OTX Solutions
  • JCL Oriental

The last two days of the conference were designed to give members extended time to meet with other delegates. Being a packed, sold-out event, delegates took full advantage of their One-on-One time, showing up with packed schedules and armfuls of business cards.

“As the youngest network under the WCA umbrella, of course we want to have a good time,” said Majerus. “But what’s more important is that we give our members ample opportunity to conduct real, meaningful business. We want them to make valuable business connections; it’s why these full-meeting days are so vital.”

Global Affinity Alliance members departed Amsterdam with more than business cards in their pockets. They left with a greater sense of network connectivity, and with some Amsterdam history to boast too. GAA is proud to say that it’s 3rd Annual Conference was its most successful yet and we can’t to set that bar even higher in years to come.
