It’s July 1st – SOLAS day! Try INTTRA’s VGM submission tool free for 30 days.

We’ve been talking about it since 2014, and now the day is finally here. Global implementation of the Verified Gross Mass (VGM) requirement is in place and shippers are required to provide carriers with this information as required by the Safety of Life at Sea Act, or SOLAS.

Country-by-country regulatory agencies and carriers have been attempting to reach workable solutions. What seems to be the point where everyone is coalescing is that containers can be weighed by the terminal upon their arrival and this weight can be used. If you want to trust the terminal, that is your choice and it is perfectly without your bounds. But if you want to take control of it yourself, we have a potential solution for you.

INTTRA VGM Tool

INTTRA-logoThe WCA has created a partnership with technology platform INTTRA and they are offering member companies a free trial of their eVGM platform where forwarders can submit the information to their participating member carriers. Try it for thirty days and if you like it, you can sign up with INTTRA for a full license.

Use THIS LINK to view the software and sign up for your free trial.

We are all aware of how important it is to take advantage of technology to not only work more efficiently and with less cost, but also for ensuring compliance for our shipments and those of our customers.

For more information on how to take advantage of this free thirty-day trial of INTTRA’s eVGM tool, email matt@globalaffinityalliance.com for more information.
